Announcement: The second edition of my book is now in the market!

Dear Patrons, Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,

It is with a heart filled with praise and gratitude to Gracious God and some real gratification and excitement that I would like to share with you the news of publication of the second edition of my book Exploring Islam in a New Light, thanks to Brother Edip Yuksel who has been kind to beautifully publish it through his Brainbow Press (See the amazon web link: http://www.amazon.com/Exploring-Islam-New-Light-Abdur/dp/098258671X).

Besides accommodating some revisions in the light of Edip’s insightful comments, this second edition incorporates also other improvements – revision of texts here and there, addition of some new substantive materials, correction, where necessary, and new formatting of Quranic verses, and addition of a new chapter on charity (zakat), adapting previous texts on this subject.

What is particularly worthy of note about this edition is that it incorporates on its back cover strong endorsements received from eminent Muslim scholars such as Khaled Abou El Fadl, Edip Yuksel and Khaleel Mohammed, along with those received earlier from Reza Aslan and Jeffrey Lang, in addition to Professor Riffat Hassan's foreword (See website: www.exploreQuran.org.)
